Need a dual-bay SATA dock that clones drives without a computer?
Two Simplecom models meet a common Australian buying request: two 2.5-inch / 3.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD bays, USB 3.0 connection and a built-in offline clone function. Below are observed local prices from two retailers, not guesses about delivery or hidden discounts.
Quick choice: SD312 for the lower shelf price; SD322 if you prefer an aluminium housing. On the checked listings, VTech showed A$48 for the SD312 and A$55 for the SD322, both including GST. Delivery costs can change which is cheaper overall.

What to check before buying
- Drive interface: these docks take standard SATA drives. M.2 NVMe SSDs do not fit these SATA bays.
- Clone direction: make sure the source and target are inserted in the labelled slots. Offline cloning overwrites data on the target. Back up important files first.
- Target capacity: use a destination drive with at least the source drive's actual capacity. Check any special SSD or encryption requirements in the manual.
- Freight and delivery: without the Australian delivery postcode there is no defensible final price or delivery estimate. Compare checkout totals and return policies before paying.
- Need an M.2 SSD? This comparison does not cover NVMe docks or mixed NVMe/SATA cloning devices.
Manufacturer specifications: SD312 · SD322. Verify your exact drive model against the instructions.

How this guide was prepared
This is an independent snapshot of public Australian retailer listings checked on 25 October 2026 against the manufacturer's published model specifications. It is not a live price feed. “Cheaper” refers only to the observed advertised price for a matching model, not to tax beyond the listed GST, shipping, warranty service or final checkout cost. You purchase from the retailer directly; we do not take payment or place an order.
